DVD Prečec osnovano je 24.2.1958. godine na inicijativu Dragutina Ručeca, Ivana Orača, Stjepana Gornjaka, Franje Gibanjeka i Franje Jurića, kada je održana i prva osnivačka skupština ovog vatrogasnog društva. Sam početak rada društva bio je vrlo težak i mukotrpan. Nije bilo financijskih sredstava. Počelo se sa izgradnjom vatrogasnog doma 1959. godine. Sve se radilo ručno bez ikakvih pomagala. Materijal za gradnju doma vozili su mještani uz pomoć konjskih zaprega. Počeo je skromni rad i vježbe sa agregatom "TMZ" 6 KS, koji je ujedno služio društvu i za domaća i za vanjska natjecanja. Do drugog agregata "Sore" došlo se uz pomoć vatrogasnog saveza i domaćih sredstava. Treći agregat kapaciteta 1600 l/min nabavljen je uz pomoć vatrogasnog saveza, mjesne zajednice i vatrogasnog društva. Prvo vatrogasno vozilo stiglo je iz Vatrogasnog saveza Sesvete, ali je bilo u lošem stanju pa ga se najprije moralo popraviti i osposobiti. Drugo vozilo kombi "IMV" 1600 kub. nabavljeno je uz pomoć članova društva i vatrogasne jedince grada Zagreba i danas je u upotrebi. Oprema koju društvo posjeduje u lošem je stanju. Nešto je promijenjeno ali premalo za današnje potrebe. Društvo je orijentirano na samofinanciranje i dobrovaljni rad. Aktivnosti operativne postrojbe temelje se na učinkovitosti vatrozaštite te osposobljavanju vatrogasaca operativaca kao i vatrogasnog podmlatka. Osim vatrozaštite društvo je aktivno sudjelovalo na svim organiziranim vježbama i natjecanjima u sklopu vatrogasnog saveza Dugog Sela. Bili su općinski prvaci tri godine u nizu i dobili mogućnost sudjelovanja na državnim natjecanjima gdje su postigli vidne rezultate. 1978. god. društvo je proslavilo 20-godišnjicu postojanja, a dvadeset godina kasnije, 1998. godine, uz pomoć poglavarstva općine Brckovljani održana je proslava 40-godišnjice osnutka društva. 1998. god. u Prečecu je održano prvo općinsko takmičenje VZO Brckovljani. Na osnivačkoj skupštini društvo je počelo sa 15 članova. Od 1958. pa do danas kroz društvo je prošlo 80 članova. Danas društvo broji 46 članova, od toga 10 članova podmlatka, 9 članova osnivača društva, 7 članova pričuve, te 20 aktivnih članova.
Školovani kadar društva čine:
- 1 viši vatrogasni časnik
- 5 dočasnika
- 1 vatrogasac I. klase
- 8 ispitanih vatrogasaca.

He started modest work and exercises with the "TMZ" 6 HP unit, which also served the society for both domestic and foreign competitions. The second unit of "Sora" was reached with the help of the fire brigade and domestic funds. The third unit with a capacity of 1600 l / min was procured with the help of the fire brigade, the local community and the fire brigade. The first fire truck arrived from the Sesvete Fire Brigade, but it was in poor condition, so it had to be repaired and trained first. Other vehicle van "IMV" 1600 cu. It was procured with the help of members of the society and the fire brigade of the city of Zagreb and is still in use today. The equipment the company owns is in poor condition. Something has changed but too little for today’s needs. The society is oriented towards self-financing and voluntary work. The activities of the operational unit are based on the effectiveness of fire protection and the training of operational firefighters as well as young firefighters. In addition to fire protection, the company actively participated in all organized exercises and competitions within the Dugo Selo Fire Brigade. They were municipal champions for three years in a row and were given the opportunity to participate in state competitions where they achieved visible results. 1978 the society celebrated its 20th anniversary, and twenty years later, in 1998, with the help of the Brckovljani municipality, a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the society was held. 1998 the first municipal competition VZO Brckovljani was held in Prečec. At the founding assembly, the society started with 15 members. From 1958 until today, 80 members have passed through the society. Today, the society has 46 members, of which 10 are youth members, 9 are founding members of the society, 7 are reserve members, and 20 are active members. The trained staff of the company consists of: - 1 senior fire officer - 5 NCOs - 1 firefighter I. class - 8 surveyed firefighters.
