The Novaki Voluntary Fire Brigade was founded on March 25, 1927. at the instigation of Dr. Pavle Lončar and 24 other locals Novaki. The first president of the Society was Petar Kunder, commander Franjo Đud, secretary Janko Gregurić and treasurer Ignac Kupina. Other founding members of the Society were: Mirko Grdiša, Franjo Gregurić, Pavao Kunder, Vid Gregurić, Petar Gecina, Valent Đud, Marko Novosel, Ivan Grdiša, Slavko Grdiša, Slavko Gecina, Ivan Gecina, Imbro Đud, Petar Gregurić, Antun Grdiša, Janko Potter; Juraj Novosel, Slavko Novosel, Jakop Grdiša, Pavao Novosel, Mijo Gregurić, Franjo Grdiša and Petar Lončar. It was established on a voluntary basis in order to carry out firefighting activities, and to promote, develop and improve fire protection and firefighting. The members of the Association are natural and legal persons who work on the improvement of firefighting and fire protection, and perform other tasks that achieve these goals. The area of activity and responsibility of the Company is the town of Novaki Petrovinski and the City of Jastrebarsko, and it is determined by the fire protection plan of the City of Jastrebarsko.
