In those early years, a fire engine (DKV aggregate) was purchased with their own funds, which still exists today as an exhibit at the Fire Station. At that time there were no fire station premises, so they were forced to move the engine from house to house, depending on where it could be stored. This situation lasted until 1961, when on 2 August of that year a building permit was issued for the fire station at its current location. Construction of the fire station began in 1962 and lasted until 1965, when it was completed. In addition to those first years, DVD Blaževdol also records great successes in the late 1960s and early 1970s. During this period, the association merged with the chemical industry “Iskra” (which lasted for one term), the first IMV van was acquired, and there was significant activity in fire protection, various competitions and fire service social gatherings.
