Kolekcionar vatrogasnog znakovlja

DVD Grabarje je osnovano 1942. godine u vrijeme Drugog svjetskog rata. Ratna zbivanja u Grabarju su se održavala na različite načine : mobilizacijom mladih ljudi u razne vojne formacije, domobrane, ustaše, Gestapo partizane. Dio muškog stanovništva vojno sposobnih, ali još uvijek ne mobiliziranog koristi mogućnost upisa u zaštitare, a boja se temelji na zakonskoj odluci tadašnjih vlasti NDH. Ratna komešanja i stanište još više pojačavaju požari koji se lančano javljajunoću u teškom vremenu. Stoga je potreba za zaštitarskom službom još je se pojačala. Inicijator ustroja potrebne zaštitarske postrojbe je bio tadašnji učitelj u Grabarju gospodin Stjepan Salopek.On uz još petoricu sumještana organizira prvi odbor ili prvu vatrogasnu zaštitarsku postrojbu. Ova postrojba nema niti svoje zgrade, a niti bilo kakve vatrogasne opreme,te i nije mogla biti uspješna u gašenju požara. Zato 1942.godine dobrovoljnim prinosima članovi DVD-a skupljaju financijska sredstva za nabavu vatrogasnog agregata i ostale opreme. Kupljen je agregat marke ILO u Osijeku.Uz agregat kod kolana su naručena i dvoja drvena kola, jedna za agregat a druga za burad sa vodom. Ova vatrogasna zaštitarska postrojba je imala odobrenje i vojnih vlasti, pa je njenim članovima služenje u njoj uzimano kao i aktivno služenje u vojsci i nije ih se pozivalo na druge vojne obaveze izvan sela.Naravno ovu mogućnost su iskoristili i drugi mještani pa broj članova dobrovoljaca raste i tako nastaje DVD Grabarje. Kako se ukazala potreba za smještaj članstva i vatrogasne opreme uz malo nesuglasica se odlučilo da to bude seljački dom. To je kuća koju je 1937. godine kupila grupa mještana ( 67 suvlasnika ) za potrebe sela.Lokacija je katastarska čestica oko mjesnog doma.Postojeći vatrogasni dom nije zadovoljavao potrebe, te se 1954.godine godišnjom skupštinom donijela odluka o rušenju starog doma i izgradnja novog.Drugi dan do večeri dom je srušen, treći očišćen i spreman za izgradnju novog.Ušlo je se u veliku investiciju u koju bi se rijetko koji odbor i danas upustio, a bez garancija i potpora. Sav materijal je kupljen iz vlastitih sredstava koja su prikupljena po selu. Dom je završen i otvoren 1958. godine. Sedamdesetih godina uz dom je sagrađena i nova trgovina pa je jednim dijelom dom proširen do trgovine.

 home guards, Ustasha, Gestapo partisans. Part of the male population of military age, but not yet mobilized, uses the possibility of enlisting in the security forces, and the color is based 
on a legal decision of the then NDH authorities. The turmoil of war and the habitat are further intensified by the fires that occur in a chain during difficult weather. Therefore, the need for
 a security service has increased even more. The initiator of the organization of the necessary security unit was Mr. Stjepan Salopek, a teacher in Grabarj at the time. Together with five other 
residents, he organized the first committee or the first fire protection unit. This unit has neither its own building, nor any firefighting equipment, so it could not be successful in extinguishing 
the fire. That's why in 1942, DVD members collected financial resources for the purchase of a fire engine and other equipment through voluntary contributions. An ILO generator was purchased
 in Osijek. Along with the generator, two wooden carts were also ordered, one for the generator and the other for the water barrels. This fire protection unit had the approval of the military 
authorities, so its members were considered to serve in it as well as active service in the army and were not called to other military duties outside the village. and thus DVD Grabarje was born. 
As the need arose for the accommodation of membership and firefighting equipment, with some disagreements, it was decided to make it a peasant's home. It is a house that was bought in 
1937 by a group of locals (67 co-owners) for the needs of the village. The location is a cadastral parcel around the local home. The existing fire station did not meet the needs, and in 1954 the 
annual assembly decided to demolish the old home and build a new one. .The second day by the evening, the home was demolished, the third was cleaned and ready for the construction of 
a new one. A large investment was made that would rarely be undertaken by any committee even today, without guarantees and support. All the material was bought from our own funds, 
which were collected around the village. The home was completed and opened in 1958. In the 1970s, a new store was built next to the home, so part of the home was extended to the store.
